A week off the grid.

Mt. Triumph leadership camp is one of the most amazing, inspiring, and fulfilling thing I have ever experienced. It always ends up being my absolute favorite week of the year. I always feel so loved and connected when I leave camp- which is funny because it's 7 days out of cell service and off the grid.

This year was my 2nd year of camp as a Junior Counselor. I only have one year left of my 3-year term as a JC until I'm all done (I'm already crying about this so don't remind me). The 19 other JC's have become a 2nd family to me at this point. They are some of the greatest people in my life and are doing so much good in this world. They had my back throughout the week if I ever needed anything. I am so thankful for those human beings.
I had the amazing opportunity to work with Renton High School this year. Those kids grew so much throughout the week and bonded in such a way that made my heart full. Watching them open up with one another and let down their guard was such an inspiring thing to see. I could see how much they cared about each other as well as how much they cared about their school. They wowed me and made me so proud to be a part of this camp. I love you guys.

I could go on about camp forever. But, I just want to say thank you to the Directors, to my amazing JC Coordinator, to the Senior Counselors, the Junior Counselors, and of course the delegates. I love watching those kids put their heart into this camp and trust the process (in the words of Leanne). They all make this world a better place and are going to make huge impacts on their schools next year. I am so thankful to be apart of an amazing organization such as this one. I love you Mt. Triumph.
Finally, I made a vid to capture the week. Hope this shows you a glimpse of the happiness that enfolds throughout the week.
